Join your guides Lukas & Tansy to venture to the Swedish Archipelago, which one of the largest in the world and offers endless paths to explore. Because the region is so vast, our exact route will be tailored upon arrival based on the prevailing weather conditions and chosen by your guides to ensure the best possible experience.

We will meet and launch from the area of Stavnas on the first morning and explore this area for 7 days.

Experience Level: Intermediate and above.
Fitness & Mindset: Previous multi-day expedition experience isn't required, but you should be confident in a sea kayak and eager to paddle 15–20 km per day.
Wild Camping: You should be comfortable with self-sufficient wild camping (managing your own meals and living without formal facilities like showers or toilets for several days).
Pre-Expedition Training Weekend To help you prepare, we will host a mandatory training weekend in Anglesey prior to the trip.

Itinerary
Day 1 (May 28th): Meet the team near launch point in the AM
Days 2–7: Launch into the archipelago. We will spend six nights wild camping and exploring diverse coastal landscapes over 7 days.
Day 8 (June 4): Return to basecamp, celebrate with a final team meal, and prepare for flights home.

Join us for an unforgettable 7-day wild camping circumnavigation of Austvågøya. We’ve meticulously designed this expedition to maximize your adventure while minimizing the hassle. By launching from the tranquil, sheltered lagoons of Ørsvågvær, we completely bypass the heavy commercial traffic of Svolvær. You’ll have the perfect calm waters to pack your gear, dial in your trim, and launch straight into paradise.
Our optimized, counter-clockwise route is a tactical masterpiece, perfectly balancing your daily mileage while positioning you to safely conquer the exposed northern coastline.

Your 7-Day Epic Itinerary:
Day 1: Set Sail for the Skrova Archipelago (~16 km) Launch from our protected sanctuary and glide past Svolvær, crossing the Vestfjorden into the wild. Your first night? Pitching your tent on the pristine, Caribbean-like white sands of Svinøya beach.

Day 2: Into the Heart of Trollfjord (~20 km) Navigate the Raftsundet strait before hanging a tight turn into the legendary Trollfjord. You’ll paddle through a breathtaking 100-meter-wide fissure and the spectacular towering 600-meter vertical cliffs.

Day 3: Solitude in the Islet Maze (~19 km) Leave the fjord behind and thread your kayak through the intricate, wind-shielded rock channels of Hanøya. End your day in total serenity, camping on the remote, alpine-backed shores of Vestpollen fjord.

Day 4: Brave the Atlantic Edge (~22 km) Round the northern tip of the island and meet the untamed North Atlantic. Feel the rhythm of constant ocean swells as you paddle a safe offshore line, finally resting at a sheltered grassy haven near Laukvik.

Day 5: Midnight Sun at Hov Beach (~25 km) Tackle the most committed leg of the journey down the dramatic western coastline. Your reward? Landing on the sprawling white sands of Hov Beach on Gimsøya. Pitch your tent right on the dunes—the ultimate front-row seat to the Midnight Sun.

Day 6: The Granite Walls of Henningsvær (~18 km) Paddle beneath the colossal granite climbing face of Presten and into the magical, islet-strewn waters of Henningsvær. Camp on a remote outer island, just a short paddle away from the harbor for a well-deserved morning coffee.

Day 7: The Triumphant Return (~11 km) Enjoy a victorious final paddle. Weave your way east through intimate skerries and channels, crossing back into the calm, welcoming waters of our Ørsvågvær launchpad.

Skill Level: Level 4 (Moderate) – suitable for paddlers with experience in moderate to advanced water, exposed coastlines, and some tidal flow.
Have experience on day or multi-day wild camping trips, be comfortable with self-sufficient wild camping (managing your own meals and living without formal facilities like showers or toilets for several days).
You should be confident in a sea kayak and eager to paddle 15–20 km per day.
Can perform basic self-rescue and assisted rescues.

Launching from the sheltered lagoon of Ørsvågvær, our exclusive expedition dives deep into the heart of the Svellingsflaket Landscape Protection Area—a spectacular, uninhabited archipelago and a true wilderness maze.

Leave rigid routes behind and paddle your way through crystal-clear turquoise waters. Navigate between hundreds of pristine small islands, discover hidden white-sand beaches, and immerse yourself in a sanctuary teeming with rich marine birdlife.

Your Adventure Awaits:
Day 1: The Vestfjorden Crossing (~16 km)
Pack your hatches and launch from our protected lagoon, paddling past the scenic outer islands of Kabelvåg and Svolvær. Experience the thrill of crossing the open Vestfjorden to the Skrova island group. End your day under the stars—pitching your tent on the soft, white sand dunes of Svinøya beach for an unforgettable wild camp on Skrova's remote northern edge.

Day 2: Into the Island Labyrinth (~18 km)
Leave Skrova behind and paddle northeast across open waters into the pristine threshold of Svellingsflaket. Feel the excitement as deep fjord waters transform into a massive shallow plateau, putting your navigation skills to the test as you thread your way through hidden reefs in this protected paradise.

The Adventure Continues:

Day 3: Deep Labyrinth Exploration (~12–15 km)
Spend a dedicated day gliding through the shallow, turquoise lagoon channels of the inner reserve. Look down through crystal-clear waters to vibrant kelp forests teeming with sea life beneath your hull. Keep your camera ready for curious seals popping up to say hello and majestic white-tailed sea eagles watching from low rock outcrops. As evening falls, we’ll relocate to a remote northern islet, securing our tents on smooth, sun-warmed glaciated granite shelves for a truly wild night.

Day 4: From Island Mazes to Sheer Chasms – Into the Trollfjord (~22 km)
Trade the open archipelago for dramatic verticality! Paddle west toward the mighty Raftsundet strait before making a hard turn into the legendary Trollfjord. Feel the awe as you glide into a sheer 100-metre-wide stone chasm, the water darkening dramatically beneath you. We’ll land at the very head of this mythical fjord, making our wild camp on lush, mossy clearings near the historic hydroelectric station.

Day 5: Navigating the Tidal Currents (~19 km)
Departing the towering shadows of Trollfjord, we head north up the majestic Raftsundet. Brace yourself for an exhilarating paddle through the dynamic tidal currents of the Hanøya channels. Tonight, we find sanctuary on the remote shorelines of Vestpollen fjord—a perfect, sheltered haven tucked away from the prevailing coastal winds.

Day 6: The Great Circumnavigation
A spectacular day of island-hopping and big views! We’ll circumnavigate the rugged coastlines of Litmolla and Skrova, soaking in panoramic vistas of the towering Lofoten wall. Celebrate a triumphant day of paddling as we set up our final wild camp at the beautiful 'Sandblaster South'.

Day 7: The Triumphant Return (~11 km)
Take in the final breaths of crisp, salty sea air on a relaxed morning paddle back to our launch point at Ørsvågvær. Return with tired shoulders, a full memory card, and stories of a true wilderness expedition that will last a lifetime.

The Isles of Scilly offer quite simply the most idyllic, breathtaking waters we have ever been fortunate enough to paddle, and we can't wait to share this magical playground with you!

Skill Level: Level 3 (Intermediate / Moderate) – suitable for paddlers who:
Are comfortable paddling in moderate water (wind up to around Force 4, some swell and tidal movement)
